St. Louis, MO - May 12, 2004 - TSI Holding Co. has purchased Miami Air International, Inc., a global charter airline, the company said Wednesday.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
TSI, one of the largest privately held companies in St. Louis, has been a 12 percent owner of Miami Air for the past four years. Miami Air flies 737s and 727s and has a fleet of nine aircraft. It was founded in 1990 by Ross Fischer, who will remain President and Chief Executive of the airline. Some of its customers include Royal Caribbean International, Carnival Cruise Lines, Florida Marlins, Miami Heat, Florida Panthers and the U.S. military.
